Scott Ficek, a Minnesota Real Estate broker, has been buying and managing investment property since 2001. He has owned as many as 28 units in 15 buildings including duplexes, 4-plexes, townhouses, single family houses and even commercial properties throughout Minneapolis and surrounding Minnesota communities. As a result of managing all these rental properties himself, he is an invaluable resource for his investor clients.
Prior to real estate, Scott was the Director of Information Technology for Caribou Coffee and Mesaba Airlines in the Twin Cities. He graduated with a Finance degree from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and lives in Independence with his wife, Amanda, and their 3 kids.
Jesse Mausser has been a real estate professional and investor since 2007 buying, selling, rehabbing, renting and managing hundreds of properties in the Twin Cities. In 2014, Jesse and Tom partnered to purchase the Century 21 Luger Realty brokerage located in Edina.
The vision for the brokerage business is to foster growth by attracting fun, intelligent and motivated agents while cultivating a warm, locally owned and operated brokerage. The business is driven by a family culture and backed with an expanse of tools and systems from the Century 21 umbrella.
Prior to a life in real estate, Jesse managed and co-owned 22 Panera Bread locations here in the Twin Cities. Jesse has a dual degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Iowa, but we try not to hold the Iowa thing against him.
Jesse lives in Golden Valley with his wife, Sara, and their four kids. He enjoys reading, golfing and coaching his kids in their youth athletics. He is an avid sports fan, specifically baseball.
Tom Wolfe is a former elementary school teacher and graduate of St. Thomas University. After teaching for two years in China with his wife Nicole, he was with Panera Bread for 10 years in the restaurant business. Tom transitioned to Real Estate during the 2007 recession buying single family homes to rehab and rent which eventually led to self-managing of his rental units with his partners Curt Mann & Jesse Mausser and eventually starting to manage real estate for other owners through Rental Management Guys LLC.
Along with property management, Tom has been involved with over 100 “flips,” has built a home from reclaimed barn wood on the shores of Lake Superior and operates three VRBO vacation rentals up north.
Tom has lived in North Minneapolis for the past 17 years with his wife Nicole and their five children. Tom coaches youth baseball and basketball and currently claims the title of All Time QB in backyard football with over 60,000 yards passing and 207 touchdowns!
Willie Argo is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Minnesota. Willie has been the primary leasing agent for Rental Management Guys since he joined The Guys in the fall of 2017. He also works with his uncle, Tom Wolfe, to purchase and rehab investment properties.
Prior to his real estate career, he was an All Big Ten, Academic All- Big Ten, and All- American baseball player at the University of Illinois, where he graduated with a degree in sport management. He then went on to play minor league baseball for 6 years as a part of the Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners, and St. Paul Saints organizations before retiring in 2017.
The son of two educators, he is the oldest of six children, enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing bad golf, and watching any sport.
Curt Mann received an environmental engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and worked in that field as a consultant to for 18 years. Driven by his interest in remodeling his own house and helping out family and friends, he began investing in rental properties in 2007 with Tom and Jesse while still holding down a “real” job. In 2015, he left the environmental engineering profession to pursue real estate investing on a full-time basis. With a background in engineering and project management, Curt oversees the maintenance program for Rental Management Guys. He continues to own rental properties with his partners and has remodeled and sold over 100 homes.
Curt and his wife, Melissa, live in Maple Grove with their two kids and two dogs. Curt enjoys coaching and watching his kids in various sports, spending time up north, skiing, traveling, and watching the Twins and Vikings.
Sara is from New Orleans, Louisiana and has a background in marketing and management. She spent most of her career managing marketing and later customer service and direct ship divisions for a national coffee service company. She moved to Minnesota in 2007 and transitioned to a flexible, creative job building and refinishing furniture with Mama’s Happy. She took a leap into working for Rental Management Guys in 2019 and manages the maintenance side of the business dispatching to internal maintenance techs and vendors.
She still enjoys building with her husband, painting furniture, and exercising her creative side along with watching her 3 kids grow (quickly).
Sarah manages our inspection program and coordinates all turnover work in between tenants.
Kallie comes to Rental Management Guys with years of experience in accounting. She previously worked for several years for one of the local food co-ops and made the move to RMG in 2018. Kallie handles all the day to day accounting. She enjoys the detailed work, problem solving and customer service aspects of her job.
Kallie enjoys hiking, biking, and any outdoor activities. Free time is always filled with family, friends and her dog, Jazzy.
Tommy is a is a real estate salesperson in the state of Minnesota licensed to Black Rock Real Estate Group. He is also the Leasing Coordinator at Rental Management Guys, working closely with his older Brother, Willie.
Prior to his career in real estate, he graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in education and earned All-Conference awards on the baseball team. After graduation he was a High School Physical Education and Health teacher for 5 years. He also coached high school wrestling and baseball during his years as an educator.
Tommy lives in Minneapolis with his wife Madelyn and their three boys. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching youth sports, and playing golf.
